A MILESTONE IS REACHED ON THE "SAVE OUR HISTORY" PROJECT
Phase One of the SAVE OUR HISTORY project is now complete. Beta testing has been going on since January and, on April 2nd, an introductory party was held at the Jackson Rancheria where the public was invited to learn about the project and how to access historical newspapers and search for topics of interest.
The archives are available free of charge to everyone. No library card is needed. Access is via the library home page (http://www.co.amador.ca.us/departments/library).
More details about the project and this milestone are on the SAVE OUR HISTORY page.
FACL Has a Brand New Bag
You'll want to have at least one of these handy, sturdy bags to haul your contributions to the book drive or your new reading finds home from the next book sale. Pick yours up at the Jackson branch of the library or buy one at one of the book drives/sales. They're just $10 each, and your purchase helps FACL support the library.
